Beach closed to vehicle access.
Update: Beach curfew now 9:00 PM to 6:00 AM until 17 Aug; in spite of Port A failure to enforce the county order, the Beach Closure to vehicle traffic and a 9PM Curfew are in effect until 17 Aug (unless extended). Berms are going back up on beach side of boardwalk.
Boardwalk beach side closed by city; boardwalk island side will be closed to cart traffic with appropriate notification.
Pedestrian traffic and bicycle traffic – boardwalk remains open to access to the beach when not under curfew.

County Judge
Effective immediately and continuing until August 1, 2020 6:00 a.m., unless extended, modified, amended, rescinded or superseded by the County Judge:
1. All beaches within the geographic boundaries of Nueces County are subject to a curfew as follows: 8:30 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.
2. Beaches and parks and portions thereof with vehicular access points will be closed to the extent directed by barricades and signs placed at the vehicular access points. This vehicular access restriction is inclusive of golf carts and all-terrain vehicles. Pedestrian access to the beaches and parks is permitted.
3. Golf carts, as defined by section 551.401 of the Texas Transportation Code, displaying a disabled parking placard will be allowed on the beach to the extent being operated by or for a disabled veteran or person with physical disability. Access points to the beach will be specifically designated for this purpose.
