The Beachwalk II N.U.D. Owners’ Association will hold our Annual Membership Meeting, as outlined in the Association Bylaws, on Saturday morning February 17, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. The Association meeting will be in-person (Hampton Inn and Suites, Hwy 361 in Port A) with Board Director (2) nominations/election and 2024 Annual Budget approval.
The Bylaws specify an Order-of-Business for all membership meetings that helps each member evaluate the direction your Association will take the community; election of Directors to help lead that journey; and your approval of the resources to meet current operations objectives and longer term capital and emergency expenses. The Board urges each member to participate (in-person if possible; by proxy if necessary….. your participation is important).
The major Association actions required by declaration are:
- Ensure quorum (present or proxy) to conduct Association business.
- Provide proof of notice of the meeting
- Provide/review Minutes from last year’s 2023 Annual Meeting
- Reports from President (Directors, Officers, and Committees) of the Association.
- Approval of the Budget for 2024 – provided at least 30 days prior to the meeting (Member approval; although not currently required, will be added as revision to the Bylaws)
- Election of Directors (filling the director positions due to term completion)
- Other Old (unfinished) Business and New Business
Decisions of the Association members require a quorum (50%) of authorized members/voters participating either in person or by proxy. The nominations and voting for Directors and Budget Approval will be done from the floor of the Annual Membership Meeting. Participation of a quorum (50%) is required. (Either in person or by proxy)
